Cheshmeh will keep closed at least until the end of July. It's a tiny stuffy place, no way to keep the 2m distance, no way to provide the safe environment. We'll keep you updated, in meantime, please check out Cheshmeh TV. If it's only you, your life, I say do whatever you want. But this is not the case. Our action can kill the others. We can't be too cautious.
Cheshmeh is located on the Keio line Sasazuka, 1 stop from Shinjuku. 15 mins walk from Shimokita. Filled up with vintage posters, exotic lamps and musical instruments, from all over the world and time, Cheshmeh creates such an unique, warm global creative community here in Tokyo.
Cheshmeh is trying to become a creative oasis where people can gather around, enjoy the hearty meal and laugh together, learn, play music together and feel at home without worrying the language, culture or religious or sexual differences. If you make any racist comments, sexual harassments, anti-LGBTQ comments, you will be asked to get the hell out.
We make the world-fusion savory dishes. Lots of vegetables, fruits and herbs. Vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, we'll be happy to adjust to your diet, please do contact us beforehand. Sorry but we can't do the full Vegan...we love honey and egg. And, we don't use the organic food, but the fresh vegetables from the lovely private shops from our neighborhood.
If you wish to use Cheshmeh for the meeting, teaching class, screening, acoustic live, birthday party, dance event, wine tasting, etc. Please check out our calendar for the availability, and text usor just come over!
POSITIVELY NO SMOKING If you have to smoke, please go outside, far away from the cafe. We provide a map of the allowed smoking area in Sasazuka, please ask. There is no other cafe/bars in our neighborhood, so we need to be extremely cautious about the manner. Please bring back your cigarette butts. Respect our non-smokers' rights. Some gets angry, "It's just one cigarette"...well, if you can't stay away from one cigarette for a few hours, it sure is an addiction. we strongly recommend you to go to the hospital.
